Tasked with 29 portraits and a 30 person group shot left me with little time to do my own thing for a photo. This is one of the portraits ( I took one serious one and one funny one)!

Welll, ok it's a little late this one!

I took the photos yesterday with all intention of uploading them when I got in that night, however train cancellations and taxi delays left me getting home at 00:40 this morning ... 6 hours and 20 minutes before I started work!

Well I thought I'd try and make up from yesterdays photo, this was a nightmare, took me ages to find a suitable liquid for the dye, used the vinegar from pickled beetroot in the end, after trying fruit juice, black currant liqueur...just wish there had been food dye!

New Toy!

My new toy got delivered today, it's a set of cheap macro extension tubes...but WOW they work well. The first photo (top left) is of my macro set up, as well as the items I photographed, the next is the centre of an apple and the final is a picture of a 5 pence piece, about the size of a dime. None of the photos are cropped either!

Today is crappy pictures Monday (read last weeks and all will be explained) so this is pretty pant today!

This is Bob, my other labrador. He's a loving, kind and loyal dog...basically a total big softy that wants nothing more than a fuss and a cuddle.

This is the first post of my dogs this year. This is Marley! Marley's an 18 month old Labrador (still our little puppy). He's a usually bouncy, playful, sometimes mischievous little dog. However over the last few days he's come down with some sort of doggy cold. Over the last 24 hours he's deteriorated so he ended up with a visit to the vets, after vomiting up a sock...

Back from the vets, after having general anesthetic and a camera passed down his throat to his stomach to check for any more obstructions. Thankfully, he's had the all clear and is on a course of anti-biotics...and he's certainly happier!

Here's a little montage of photos showing his war wound (where the vet shaved his leg to get the anesthetic in)

Much to the delight of every student/teacher in my area, schools closed their doors today due to "Adverse Weather Conditions" In other words, we had about 5 or 6 inches of snow. Despite a long walk in the snow, I wasn't happy with with any photos so I went for plan B. More fruit!

I'm running out of fruit!
Today's picture was tricky, I only had small nectarines and no orange juice! Had to use a thick orange gel to get it dark orange!

Strobist info: SB600 with a grid and about 4 1/2 cuts of CTO gel at 1/16 triggered with skyports.

Mondays are a BAD day for photos! I have school and it's a pretty dire day then I have a 5 hour shift at McDonalds so I don't leave till 10 so it's a long day leaving little time for photos. Managed to get a quick shot after the weekly prefect meeting of part of my lunch...which isn't particularly great!

After work today I decided to go on a walk with a friend with my camera, flashes...and of course some fruit as that was my theme! We have had a dusting of snow today so the snow at the edge of a field made an interesting backdrop for the red of the apple to contrast with.

Strobist info: SB-600 at 1/64 power with a grid above the apple, triggered with Skyports and taken on Nikon D90 at 1/160s, f/6.3 and 200 iso.
